Happenings at Living Water week of 2/22

PRAISE THE LORD….. We have broken our attendance record two weeks in a row! In our service yesterday three received the Holy Ghost for the first time and one was refilled. What a great move of God. It was as if Bro. Porter knew what the pastor spoke on last week regarding captivity.

It’s amazing how the message yesterday seemed to build on the previous one. Pastor Drake told us to pray through our captivity and it was as if the release from bondage came this week for many. AMEN……

We’ve been saying for a few weeks that greater things were yet to be done in our city and we are starting see this come to pass. Revival is truly in the air at Living Water.

Happening at Living Water week of 2/15

Wow, what a service we had yesterday. Even with several of our regular folks out of town we had a record attendance of 53 in our worship service. That is 53 souls worshipping the one true God together, and when we come together and worship Him in spirit and in truth it is just that much more dynamic.

As the pastor spoke from Jeremiah about praying through our captivity you could see the Holy Ghost begin to work across the congregation. Many were encouraged to know that freedom is on the way if we will just keep on keeping on. We must remain steadfast and hold on for it is through our faithfulness that we will see the promises come to pass. God has promised that He will release us from captivity but it must be at His appointed time, not ours.

Hold on and remember with God all things are possible.

Happenings at Living Water Week of 2/1/09

God is continuing to work in our midst. On Sunday we learned that it’s not odd, it’s God. God is still in the miracle business and we need to acknowledge it when something unexplainable happens. We must give him the glory for it. Wednesday night seemed to be a continuation as we studied the pattern for prayer. I had never before thought to pray that my body would be today as it will be in Heaven, free of pain and sickness and that this would also apply to situations in our lives. What a concept?!

This morning as I was going about my normal routine I suddenly realized that for the first time in about a month I did not have pain in my hip. That may not mean much to some but to me it’s amazing. Especially since there have been days when I could barely walk first thing in the morning. To God be the glory, great things he has done.

Let us continue in prayer and fasting. Greater things are yet to be done in our city!

Happenings at Living Water Late January

Our first baby of 2009 has arrived. Praise God!

In recent weeks we’ve been taught that we must intentionally live for God and to stop being skeptical. We have to trust that God will do what He says. The spirit moved in a mighty way on Sunday and we saw our first soul of 2009 receive the Holy Ghost. We’ve seen addictions broken, relationships healed, and many blessings in the first few weeks of this year. God has been truly been working in our midst in a mighty way and will continue to do so if we will continue to trust Him.

As we started this year off with 30 days of prayer and fasting I noticed a stirring in my soul. I found in talking with others that they too felt this same stirring. I believe we are getting ready to see the fruits of our labors come to pass. If we will just hold on and be obedient to Him, doors will be opened for us to witness and to teach Bible Studies.

Remember, we are vessels to be used of Him. God has placed us as workers in the field and we will continue to reap the harvest as long as we prepare ourselves through prayer and fasting. Let’s do it all for His Names Sake.
