Happenings at Living Water Week of 3/15

Yesterday was another amazing day here at Living Water. There was such liberty in the worship as we realized that we are free to dance and free to live for God. We are free in Him! He died on the cross to set us free from sin and bondage and for that reason alone we should want to serve Him.

The sermon Pastor Drake preached titled, “It was once said” reminded us that we must have a made up mind and a determination that no matter what life throws our way, we will not turn back. We will not be like Judas and betray Jesus just because someone offers us something that looks pleasing to the eyes. This world doesn’t have anything to offer that isn’t an imitation of what God has in store for us.

I have often wondered what went through Judas’ mind after he betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver.  What did he feel? Did he feel guilt, remorse, anguish, or shame? These are the same feelings we should have each time we fall, and we do fall. We must fall on our faces before the Lord and repent so that we can be lifted back to the place He desires us to be.

I want to be what He wants me to be. I want to live the way He wants me to live. It is my prayer that we will let God use us to reach our families, our friends, coworkers and our city.

Let’s continue to lift up our pastor and his family as well as our church leadership in prayer as we go through our week. May God encourage your through your times of prayer and fasting as we impact our city.

Happenings at Living Water Week of 3/8

Another week has come and gone and the results of prayer and fasting continue to be seen. What a wonderful service yesterday as the Spirit flowed from pre-service prayer to Sunday School and then continued to spill over into worship.  God poured out his blessings upon us once again as we were encouraged to let God create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. I truly believe we all must come to a place of repentance every day in our walk with God. If we will do this, He will honor it and bless us with great revival.

I stand in awe at the works of His hands as we continue to see just how big our God really is. He is small enough to live within our hearts yet big enough to rule the universe. The first time visitors continue to come through doors each week and this week was no exception. We are very excited about the open door God is setting before us that no man can shut!

Continue to pray for revival!
